IE can give the following error on some controls:
This page is accessing information that is not under its control. This poses a security risk. Do you want to continue?
To fix the page:
- In Internet Explorer, look at the status bar to see whether the website with the information access issue is in the Internet, Trusted sites or Local Intranet zone
- Click Tools (may need to press the Alt key first) then Internet Options
- Select the Security tab
- Select the zone that the page is in (Step 1)
- Click Custom Level…
- Scroll down through the options and find Access data sources across domains, select Enable
Obviously, to change this on all computers, you need to do a GPO for IE.
Be aware that there is a security issue with this setting and it might be wise to ensure that the website is in a secure zone (consider added the website to Trusted Sites if you trust it) and then applying the setting… That way, you don’t end up applying the security hole to all websites on the Internet zone.
