The ICA Browser Did Not Return Any Server Names – Citrix Program Neighborhood

When adding a new ICA connection, you get the following warning:

Citrix Program Neighborhood

The ICA browser did not return any server names. You can enter server addresses in the Address List for the application set if there are no MetaFrame Presentation Server computers in your local subnet.

This is an easy one to fix. Basically, the Citrix Program Neighborhood looks for Citrix servers on your network subnet and collects Citrix farm information from them to return a list of server names for you to select. If there are no MetaFrame Presentation Server computers in your local subnet then Citrix Program Neighborhood is unable to return any server names.

To fix this, Click OK to the ICA browser did not return any server names warning, then:

  1. Click Server Location…
  2. Deselect Use Default
  3. Click Add
  4. Add a Citrix server by name (if in DNS) or IP address (You can repeat this step multiple times for redundancy, but you should only need to add one server in the farm to return a full list of Citrix server names)
  5. Click OK

You should now have a list of Citrix server names to choose from in the drop down box and no longer get an ICA browser error 🙂
