Troublshooting SCCM hardware and software inventory is difficult… Until you enable the inventory troubleshooting log 🙂 To enable the hardware and software troubleshooting log, create a file on the client with inventory issues called archive_reports.sms in the C:\WINDOWS\system32\ccm\inventory\temp\ or C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\ccm\inventory\temp\ directory (if it’s a 64bit computer).
