How To Stop Server Manager Loading On Startup In Windows Server 2012

In previous versions of Server Manager there was a checkbox to stop the Server Manager from starting up each time you logged onto the server. In Windows Server 2012 the checkbox to stop Server Manager loading on startup, the checkbox has moved. To stop Server Manager from loading on startup in Windows Server 2012:

  3. Then click Do not start Server Manager automatically at logon
  4. Then click OK

This will stop Server Manager from loading on startup. If you need to load Server Manager in future it can be found in the Metro Screen.

  1. Thanks for this. I tried it but it still starts up. What I found worked for me was to disable it from Task Scheduler. This also disables it from startup for all other user logins as well.
