There are some situations in which you might need to remove left over glues & adhesives from a metal surface. An example of such a situation is remaining adhesive after stickers are removed from a metal surface, or in my case glue from duct tape on scissors.
After a little research on the best way to remove glue from a metal surface, I found many people suggesting glue removers and giving warnings about such products also removing paint. I didn’t have a glue remover available, so I thought I’d try heavy duty oven cleaner. I sprayed some oven cleaner on the remaining adhesive and left it for 5 minutes before wiping it off.
It worked really well and dissolved the glue, with no scrubbing 🙂
