How To Create An “Offer Remote Assistance” Shortcut In Windows 7

It is possible to create a shortcut to offer remote assistance in Windows 7 (and XP) using Microsoft Remote Assistance. To create an Offer Remote Assistance shortcut in Windows 7:

  1. Right click the desktop
  2. Click New -> Shortcut
  3. Type %windir%\system32\msra.exe /offerra
  4. Click Next

This will then create a shortcut to offer remote access, which, when launched will ask you for a computer that you want to offer remote assistance to.
