How often do SCCM Clients check in? By default, the SCCM Client checks in every 15 minutes to report it’s status back to SCCM, but only once per hour to get a policy update.
To change how often SCCM Clients check in to report status or download updated policies, do the following:
- Log onto SCCM
- Navigate to System Center Configuration Manager -> Site Database -> Site Management -> Site Name -> Site Settings -> Client Agents
- Right click Computer Client Agent
- Click Properties
- Set the Polling Policy Interval or State message reporting cycle to change how often SCCM Clients check in
This won’t change how often SCCM Clients check in until after they’ve checked in to update their policy. be aware that having SCCM Clients check in too frequently will impact performance, yet having them report state messages too infrequently can cause reports to report out of date information about the SCCM Client’s state.
